Doctoral Program
Conceptual Approach
The Tübingen School of Education has been working on a tailored program for the promotion of young academics since its founding and has established the program "TüNAPro" for PhD Students in the research fields of teacher education, the teaching profession, subject didactics, teaching, learning and educational systems in cooperation with LEAD graduate school. TüNaPro offers a variety of opportunities and support for doctoral students.
Official enrollment as a doctoral candidate in a department of the University of Tübingen is a prerequisite for a TüNaPro membership. TüNaPro members are also TüSE members.
TüNaPro offers these opportunities for support and training:
- Introductory meeting with members of the TüNaPro commitee, the student's PhD supervisor and a member of LEAD to clarify short-term, mid-term and long-term needs, requirements and opportunities for support.
- Tailored academic support (classes on specific topics, extending knowledge on research on teaching and school as well as on research methodology (theoretical, quantitative, qualitative). Each semester, all relevant classes are presented here: TüNaPro Classes Summer Semester 2017
- The form for application on financial support can be found here: Application Form
- Prizes for excellent theses are regularly announced
TüNaPro aims at complementing existing programs of academic qualification within subject departments, faculties and the graduate academy.
