University Bibliography

Making the University’s Research Output Visible

The University Bibliography documents the scholarly publication output of the entire university community. It provides a central point of access to the University's research publications, ensuring their long-term visibility regardless of whether they:

  • have been published as Open Access or not,
  • have been published by academic publishers or through the University of Tübingen's institutional publishing services,
  • have been published in digital or print format.

Among other publication types, the University Bibliography includes,

  • scholarly articles published in journals, edited volumes, and similar publications,
  • books and monographs,
  • edited volumes and book series,
  • doctoral theses and, in some cases, Master's theses.

Additional publication types will be included in the future.

University of Tübingen Affiliation Guidelines

The University's affiliation guidelines are currently under review and are not yet finalized.

A consistent and standardized statement of institutional affiliation is essential to ensure that scholarly publications can be clearly attributed to the University and processed automatically in the University Bibliography.

The University Library therefore recommends using standardized institutional affiliations together with persistent identifiers (PIDs), such as ORCID for researchers and ROR for institutions.

If you have any questions or would like to submit a publication to the University Bibliography, please do not hesitate to contact us.
