Can I withdraw from registered courses?

Yes, you can deregister or reregister from the courses at any time during the registration period. In the so-called withdrawal period, which usually takes place a few weeks after the regular enrollment period, you also have the option to withdraw from the courses. If you wish to withdraw from the course after the withdrawal period, please write an e-mail to the instructor.

My registration via alma did not work. Can I register in another way?

If the registration on alma does not work, you have the possibility to register personally with the respective lecturer of the seminar. To do this, send an e-mail to him or her stating that you would like to take part in the course.

How can I register for the exams?

How can I register for exams via the alma platform.
Here you will find instructions explaining how to register step by step:

https://uni-tuebingen.de/de/172188

When registering, you must click on the respective module for which the service is to be booked. Please make sure that you select the correct module when registering.
Usually, exam registration is possible from the beginning of December to mid-January (winter semester) or from the beginning of June to mid-July (summer semester).
Important: Please register for each (!) course or examination, regardless of whether it is a graded (6 CP) or ungraded (3 CP) examination. Otherwise, the completion of the course cannot be confirmed / the exam cannot be booked.

How many credit points (CP) do I get for the courses?

Usually:
- For 6 CP (mostly seminars) a graded examination (written exam or term paper) is expected.
- For 3 CP (seminars or lectures) the completion of ungraded coursework is sufficient.

How many credit points you get for the courses, you can see at alma under the respective course or in the module handbooks of the study program "German Studies" (see download at https://uni-tuebingen.de/einrichtungen/verwaltung/iv-studierende/zentrales-pruefungsamt/geisteswissenschaftliche-faecher/pruefungsordnungen-und-modulhandbuecher/aktuell/#c527098).
The lecturers will inform you at the beginning of the course which work you have to do. After successful completion of the course and correction of the exams, the achievements are posted on the alma platform.

What is the "Learning Agreement"?

A Learning Agreement sets out a plan of study that you will undertake abroad as part of an Erasmus exchange. It contains a list of the courses you would like to attend. Your home university will usually provide a Learning Agreement form for you. Once you have selected your courses, it must be signed by the student and the subject coordinator(s) at the home and host universities.
Please fill out the learning agreement and send it to your ERASMUS coordinator at your home university and to the responsible supervisor at the German Department:
