Nataliia Mytnyk is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Paleoanthropology at the University of Tübingen. She works on bioarchaeological studies of the population of the Late Bronze Age - the beginning of the Early Iron Age of the territory of Ukraine.

Nataliia has been interested in archeology and the study of the Late Bronze Age since her school years. In the last years of high school, she began researching the archeology of the Late Bronze Age in Ukraine. Her scientific theses won a prize at the All-Ukrainian competition of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She shifted her focus to bioarchaeology when she studied at the master's program at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Her master's thesis was devoted to the anatomical variations of the skull and teeth of the population of the Late Bronze Age of Western Ukraine. She gained a lot of field experience by participating in 13 archaeological expeditions that studied different periods and types of archaeological sites in Ukraine, Slovakia and Germany.
