Tübingen - How to get there?

By Plane

If you take the plane to get to Tübingen, the nearest airport is Stuttgart.

Taxi / Shuttle Service

Cabs are available in front of every terminal at the airport.

You have also the opportunity to take a Shuttle Service. You have to book your trip at least 24h in advance. Travel costs may add up to € 65 (up to 4 persons).

Bus

The airport shuttle „Airport Sprinter“ No. 828 by DB takes you in 50 minutes to Tübingen's bus terminal, next to the central station. Single tickets can be purchased at the information desks at the airport or on the bus for € 6,80. For further direction information, please refer to the directions “Railway” below.

By train

If you arrive in Tübingen at the central station, you can take this direction to get to the Brechtbau.

Bus services:

Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 from central station to station “Lothar Meyer Bau”

Single tickets can be purchased at the ticket machine for € 2,30 (Coins only!).

By Car

You get to Tübingen via the freeway A8 (München-Stuttgart), via B27 or the freeway A81 (Singen-Heilbronn) via B28.

Our department is located in the "Neuphilologicum", also known as "Brechtbau", Wilhelmstraße 50, 72074 Tübingen. Parking facilities can be found right across this building.

Good to know: Tübingen is a “Green Zone”, where environmental badges are obligatory for every vehicle. This measure was taken to cut down the load of particulate matter.
