Description of Doctoral Project

Naima Alam’s doctoral project takes a look at how Explainer animation can be better designed to dispense socially impactful messages. The project takes a special look at health communication undertaken in Bangladesh by international and local NGOs.

Curriculum Vitae

Naima Alam is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Media Studies at University of Tübingen. She is teaching Explainer animation seminars at the University and Motion Design courses at The Center for Media Competence (ZFM). Apart from her research and teaching work, she is a freelance animator, specializing in explainer animations. Before moving to Germany she taught at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) as a Lecturer of Public Relations and Animation. At ULAB she helped develop the Animation Minor program and founded the #VoicelessBangladeshi project in order to teach PR students about community outreach through the application of theory into practice. She obtained her MSc. in Media Studies and Journalism from Brunel University, London
