Launch of the Hector AI + Education Future Fund

On the 10th of November, the official launch of the Hector AI + Education Future Fund took place in Tübingen, marking the start of a three-year, 6.2 million euro initiatve to develop evidence-based AI solutions that create fast and meaningful impact for pupils, teachers, and schools. The kick-off event brought together researchers, foundation representatives, and educators to lay the cornerstone for the initiative. The Hector AI + Education Future Fund funds projects that connect AI and education in a meaningful way to create a fast and direct impact for pupils, schools, and teachers within the next three years. 

Thank you to Director Samuel Wagner (Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen); the initiators Ulrich Trautwein (Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology), Matthias Bethge (Tübingen AI Center) and Wieland Brendel (ELLIS Institute Tübingen); all representatives from the Hector Foundation; and of course all the project team members and their institutions, including Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien, Pädagogische Hochschule Ludwigsburg, Tübingen Center for Digital Education (TüCeDE), Technische Universität München, KI macht Schule and Leibniz Universität Hannover.
