José Carlos G. Ocampo has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Educational Science, Department of School Pedagogy at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen since November 2024. He works with the Teaching and Learning with Digital Media working group with Prof. Dr. Andreas Lachner. 

Carlos obtained his PhD in Education (Cum Laude) at the Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao, Spain where he was funded by the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Cofund Early-Stage Fellowship (Nº 847624). 

His research interests include using technology to enhance teaching and learning (e.g., use of AI, utility of assessment platforms) and investigating how individual difference factors (e.g., gender, achievement, ability) affect the peer feedback processes.
