Advice on Exam-Related Questions: We answer your questions regarding examinations – whether at the beginning or at the very end of your studies. Please note that we do not provide academic advising; for any content-related or degree planning questions, please contact your departmental student advisor or programme coordinator.
Problems with Exam Registration? If the online registration via Alma does not work, we will assist you with manual registration or deregistration.
Records of Achievement & Transcripts: Do you require a certified record? We will issue it for you.
Theses / Final Papers: We support you administratively from the official registration of your thesis to the final recording of your grade.
Degree Certification & Graduation: We prepare your final graduation documents (transcript, degree certificate) as soon as all achievements have been successfully allocated and recorded.

How can I contribute to the swift processing of my request?

The administration of exam-related matters is a joint responsibility. To ensure a smooth process, we kindly ask you to observe the following guidelines. The timely organisation of your studies remains your own responsibility.

Enquiries to the Examinations Office: Please note that an immediate response is not always possible in our day-to-day administrative business. Depending on the nature of your request, your case may require an individual assessment or may need to be forwarded to other responsible departments for clarification.
Official statements and Transcripts of Records: If you require official statements or official transcripts (e.g. for applications or student finance / BAföG), please request these well in advance. Generation and certification cannot be carried out ad hoc, especially if there is still a need for clarification or subsequent changes.
Applications to the Board of Examiners: Applications that require a decision by the Board of Examiners significantly increase the processing time. As decisions are tied to fixed meeting dates, it is not possible to state a precise processing duration in advance.
Personal Planning and Deadlines: Please plan all submissions proactively. Always take into account the office's holiday and closure periods (e.g. Christmas break) as well as the multi-week marking period, which only begins after the submission of theses.
No Emergency Processing: A tight personal schedule (e.g. due to an upcoming employment contract or an impending transfer to a master's programme) does not entitle you to preferential or immediate processing of your request.
Completeness of Documents: You are required to submit applications in full, including all necessary supporting documents (e.g. medical certificates). Incomplete documentation will delay the process, as evaluation will only begin once the very last missing document has been received.
No Status Enquiries: Please refrain from chasing up your request via email or telephone. Your messages will not be lost. Every additional enquiry ties up administrative resources and delays the processing of all applications within the office.

Requird Details: Always include your matriculation number and your degree program. You are welcome to attach relevant documents as scans directly to your email.
Consultations by appointment only: If an in-person meeting is necessary, please email the responsible staff member to request an appointment.
Binding Nature of Appointments: Please note that appointments are only valid once you have received a written confirmation via email. Since last-minute cancellations (e.g., due to illness) can only be communicated digitally, please check your inbox shortly before your arrival.

Submission of final theses & documents

Bachelor's and master's theses and other documents can be submitted as follows:

Studierenden Service Point (SSP): During regular opening hours on site.
Important: Please clarify your request via e-mail before collecting any Examination Office certificates at the Service Point.
Mailbox: Outside of opening hours, use the outdoor mailbox (Wilhelmstraße 19, to the right of the main entrance). The mailbox is emptied on business days only (Mon.–Fri.).
By Post: Mail to the Central Examination Office (the postmark counts as the submission date).

Preventive care for students of biology, geography, geoecology, geosciences, pharmacy

For all those who will participate in field trips during the course of their studies, the risk assessment results in mandatory occupational health care based on the Occupational Health Care Ordinance (ArbMedVv).

The attendance at any of the appointments is mandatory for you (if you study biology, geography, geoecology, geosciences, pharmacy) and a prerequisite for participation in future courses in the field.

The meetings are online via zoom.

Student representations

The student representation is an association of honorary and socially committed students. The tasks of the student council include representing the interests of the students, in particular through participation in the committees (faculty council, study commissions, professional committees, examination boards). In addition, the student council advises on study matters, distributes lecture notes, organizes first semester introductions and other general information events. Everyone is welcome to participate and represent student interests.

Prüfungsordnungen
Die Prüfungsordnung für Lehramtsstudiengänge setzt sich aus der sogenannten "GymPO" (Gymnasiallehrerprüfungsordnung des Landes), und einer für die Universität spezifischen "Studien- und Prüfungsordnung für das Lehramt an Gymnasien" zusammen. Diese Studien- und Prüfungsordnung der Universität Tübingen enthält neben einem für alle Fächer gültigen Teil auch fachspezifische Bestimmungen, die in der Tabelle einzeln abrufbar sind.

The General Part of the Examination Regulations contains overarching, general regulations and may be valid for several degree programs. The special part regulates, among other things, the contents of the study program, the concrete structure of the study program and the required examination achievements. If only individual words or passages of an existing statute/regulation have been changed, this is referred to as an "amendment statute" (Änderungssatzung).
