The chairs at the institute cover the entire media spectrum from print and online media, radio, film and TV, transformations in media cultures and media innovation to advertising, marketing and corporate communication. Media content is examined under technical, economic, and political aspects as well as from social, psychological and aesthetic perspectives. The International Office is in charge of helping international exchange students who come to Tübingen as part of an Erasmus exchange program and provides advice and support on administrative and practical matters regarding the exchange, e.g. enrollment, orientation days, language classes, etc.
