Let's be honest, you may never have even considered coming to Germany!
Perhaps you know where Germany is, and that they like beer here. And that the Germans are quite good at football too.
I grew up in England (which is just over an hour away if you fly) and I knew almost nothing about the place before I came here. The idea of coming here to study never occured to me. I wish it had. Germany is amazing. And Tübingen, is incredible. Coming here as an exchange student or to do your Masters can be a very real possibility!
Once a student has heard that spending a semester in Germany is possible, or that their home university can arrange an exchange program with a German university, they may well google Germany and see how it lies in the heart of Europe, bordering Denmark to the north, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, and France to the west, Switzerland and Austria to the south, and the Czech Republic and Poland to the east. Students would then wonder where Berlin is, or Munich perhaps. It is at this point that I come in.
Tübingen is incredible.
It may not be the most famous city, or the biggest, but rarely are those places the ones you talk about when you are older. The truth is, the places you tell your friends and family about are the ones that you found. That you fell in love with. Tübingen is one of those places.
Tübingen is safe.
Tübingen is green.
Tübingen is a university town.
(And on a very important side note: The University of Tübingen is one of the most prestigious research universities worldwide. The state of Baden-Württemberg, the Max Planck Society with the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen, as well as Amazon, BMW AG, IAV GmbH, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, and ZF Friedrichshafen AG are Cyber Valley’s founding partners of Cyber Valley - Europe's largest research consortium in the field of artificial intelligence.)
