As a student, you will need to develop effective approaches to reading. The purpose of reading when you study is to improve your knowledge and understanding, so you can develop your argument and conclusions. Therefore you will need to make notes to help you organise and find the relevant information when you need it.

This course will enable you to develop strategies for making reading lists and prioritizing essential and recommended sources. To do this, you will try out different reading techniques, learn to ask your own questions to a text, and use them to make effective notes on a section of the text.
