BBQ & Founder stories at the Meetup

From a windy start to rain showers in the evening - the “German summer” didn’t disappoint. But the founders' high spirits remained unaffected and – despite the mixed weather – numerous startup enthusiasts gathered to exchange their ideas.

Inspiring pitches and outlook for upcoming events

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from the Startup Center team, followed by two special pitches:

• Max Bode, one of the founders of “Biocompile” briefly presented his founding path to date. The startup specializes in the development of sustainable biotechnology solutions.

• Nourhane Hafza, EXIST Women scholarship holder, spoke openly about her current challenges, experiences and progress as a founder.

Both speeches shared the insight how important especially support and networking are on the path to successfully founding a company.

Other participants also took the opportunity to present their own startup ideas or networking suggestions on stage. This was followed by a short pitch for the “Neckarthon”, an interdisciplinary, hackathon-like event that will take place from 14th to 16th of November this year. Here, creative minds can work together in teams to solve real challenges from companies in and around Tübingen. The registration is open now!

Cozy get-together and BBQ

After the official part, cool drinks, hot dogs and stimulating conversations comforted the participants through the rainy weather. In a relaxed atmosphere, all participants had the opportunity to talk to each other, exchange startup tips and make new contacts.
