Application deadlines for the academic programme

These are the deadlines for applications for the respective year:

• summer semester: 15 January (24:00)
• winter semester: 15 July (24:00)

These are definitive deadlines! This means that applications and/or documents received after this deadline may not be considered.

The application procedure for the first semester of each of the following subjects: medicine, dentistry and pharmacy – respectively state examination (Staatsexamen) – is carried out by the foundation for university admission "hochschulstart.de" in Dortmund. The application deadlines can be found at  www.hochschulstart.de

For postgraduate degree programmes, in particular master's programmes, there are often application deadlines that deviate from the normal case.

The application deadline for the lot procedure is

• for the summer semester from 1 March to 31 March (24:00)
• for the winter semester from 1 September to 20 September (24:00)

You can enrol directly, i.e. without prior application, in open admission subjects.

An exception is only made for the master programmes. There you must first apply for open admission master programmes (deadline: 15 September / 15 March).

For the summer semester, enrolment is possible from 15 January to 31 March and for the winter semester from 1 August to 30 September.
