International Networks
The University of Tübingen is an active member in three international networks of universities:
- the Matariki Network of Universities (MNU) since 2010
- the Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities (The Guild) since 2016
- CIVIS - A European Civic University since 2019
The main goals of multilateral collaboration in the networks are the internationalization of the University in research and education and the enhancement of its international visibility by furthering joint bi- and multilateral research activities, strengthening the internationalization of education and teaching at the member universities, and increasing the international mobility of students and researchers.
Matariki Network of Universities
The Matariki Network unites seven universities from Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand under the joint vison of “Partnering for a better world”.

The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities
The Guild has 21 member universities from across Europe. Its goal is to further research and innovation at the European level.

CIVIS - A European Civic University
