Pop-Up Store ECKSTEIN

The Pop-Up Store ECKSTEIN at Lange Gasse 16 served as the University of Tübingen’s participatory space—a place for dialogue between science and society. Implemented within the European CIVIS Alliance, it provided an experimental space with a reach across Europe. ECKSTEIN was coordinated by the CIVIS Open Lab and the Public Engagement initiative of the Excellence Strategy, in cooperation with the Center for Media Competence.

It is aimed at those living with OCD, their families, and anyone interested in the condition.

Lecture Hall 7 – Where Science Meets Humor

We bring comedians and researchers together on stage – outside the academic bubble, in rural areas, and for new communities. With humor, critical questions, and common sense, current research is presented in an engaging, accessible, and interactive way. Science entertainment for everyone – with a sense of humor.

Science Notes

Our science magazine explores topics at the intersection of research and society, often with unexpected and artistic approaches. We focus not only on studies and results but also on the people and stories behind them. The magazine is complemented by events where researchers share insights on current questions in 5 × 15-minute talks, accompanied by music and visuals.
