Hiking Tour to the Roßberg

Discover the Beauty of the Swabian Alb!

Join us for a scenic hike to the Roßberg, one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Swabian Alb! Enjoy a stunning panorama across the Alb plateau – and on clear days, you might even spot the Alps on the horizon.

At the top of the hill, we’ll visit the Roßberg Tower, offering even more breathtaking views. After the climb, we’ll relax at the cozy beer garden, where food and drinks will be available. There's plenty of time to relax, take in the landscape, and enjoy good conversation.

This tour is organized and conducted by one of our volunteers (Mathias Büttner). He will meet you at the meeting point.

MEETING POINT / TIME:

In front of the Tübingen Main Station / Hauptbahnhof Tübingen (central entrance)

We will take the train to Mössingen and then the bus to Öschingen, from where we will begin our approx. 1-hour uphill hike to the top. 

Return: 
Buses back to Tübingen leave from Öschingen every ~30 minutes starting at 2.15 p.m. The group will decide together when to return.

IMPORTANT: 

  • Food and drinks at the beer garden as well as train/bus fares are at your own expense.
  • The hike is not suitable for participants under 14 years old or individuals with heart conditions or other serious medical issues that could be affected by physical exertion. The paths are not wheelchair accessible and some sections are steep.
  • Check the weather beforehand and be prepared for rain or cold. Wear sturdy trekking shoes (or at least solid-soled shoes)
  • Take enough water with you for the hike.
  • Don't forget your Student ID and/or DeutschlandTicket/Jugendticket for bus travel.
