Tübingen is known not only for its university and picturesque Old Town, but also for the many remarkable people who lived and worked here and left their mark on the city.
Everyone knows Friedrich Hölderlin – but who exactly was Isolde Kurz? And which other well-known personalities lived in Tübingen and found their final resting place at the city cemetery?
Join us for a leisurely walk through Tübingen’s history. We will visit the graves of selected notable figures at Tübingen City Cemetery and learn more about their lives and their significance to the city.
From there, we will make our way towards the city centre, where we will discover a selection of interesting monuments and sculptures. We will take a closer look at works of art and memorials that are easy to overlook in everyday life and explore the stories behind them.
The walk brings together local history, literature, art and personal stories, offering an opportunity to discover Tübingen from a different perspective and perhaps see some familiar places with new eyes.
We look forward to an interesting, enjoyable and entertaining walk with you!
