Celebrating ten years of the Cyber Valley Innovation Campus

In 2016, important actors from science, industry, and politics founded the Cyber Valley Consortium, which became the first Innovation Campus in Baden-Württemberg. Ten years on in 2026, Cyber Valley is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with “Cyber Valley Day” on September 9 in Tübingen.

The program will include, among other things, welcoming remarks by Cem Özdemir, Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg; Boris Palmer, Mayor of Tübingen; and Prof. Dr. Karla Pollmann, President of the University of Tübingen. The keynote address will be delivered by Manuela Veloso, Herbert A. Simon University Professor Emerita at Carnegie Mellon University. 

An exhibition will highlight the diversity of the Cyber Valley community and offer a space for participants to discover new projects, exchange ideas, and start conversations with researchers, entrepreneurs, and partners from across the ecosystem. Start-ups from the Cyber Valley network will present their work at a Start-up Basecamp and connect with visitors, while networking opportunities, an investor speed dating program as well as an “Ask me anything” session will help foster new collaborations. The evening will close off with lots of time for networking while enjoying refreshments from a food truck court.

Cyber Valley is one of Europe’s largest and leading centers for excellence in artificial intelligence and modern robotics. Located in Baden-Württemberg, Cyber Valley is a vibrant ecosystem that brings together experts from science, industry and society to share ideas, conduct excellent research, and bring them into application. Cyber Valley advocates for the research, development, application, and acceptance of AI and robotics while considering their ethical and social implications.
