Data protection information in accordance with the European Data Protection Basic Regulation (EUDSGVO)

CAMPOS International Conference 2020, storage and use of your data

With the European data protection basic regulation (EU-DSGVO) changed on 25 May 2018, the data protection regulations in Europe were adapted. These include information on the collection, storage and transfer of your personal data and your rights as a data subject.

Procedure and execution for participation for the CAMPOS International Conference 2020

Data collected:

Your personal data will be collected during the registration of the conference. These are

  • First and Last Name
  • Mail-Adress
  • Affiliation (University / Department)
  • Current Position

Use of your data:

In detail we use your data for the following purpose:

  • Organizing the CAMPOS International Conference 2020

Passing on to third parties:

Your data will only be forwarded by us to other persons if it is necessary for the organization of the conference.

This includes:

  • Forwarding the information to the central administration of the University of Tuebingen in order to apply for applicable grants
  • Forwarding the information to the DFG (German Research Foundation) - only on request - in order to apply for applicable grants

Duration of data storage:

For the purpose of an - on request - financial review by the DFG we are obliged to store the collected personal data for 10 years.

Their rights according to DSGVO are as follows: (Articles 13 et seq. DSGVO, §§ 32 et seq. BDSG-neu):

Right of access and correction

You have the right to request the deletion of personal data if the data are no longer required for the purpose for which they were collected or if the storage period according to the corresponding legal provision has expired. (Articles 17 and 19 DSGVO, §§ 35 and 58 BDSG-neu).

Right to deletion:

You have the right to have personal data concerning you deleted if this data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or if a storage period has expired on the basis of a corresponding legal provision. (Articles 17 and 19 DSGVO, §§ 35 and 58 BDSG-neu).

Right of objection:

In general, you have a general right of objection also against legitimate data processing which is in the public interest, in the exercise of official authority or due to the legitimate interest of an authority (Article 21 DSGVO, § 36 BDSG-neu).

Consent to the processing of personal data and right to revoke this consent:

The processing of your personal data is only lawful with your consent (Article 6 DSGVO, § 51 BDSG-neu).

If you agree to be contacted by email, your email address will be stored. Your e-mail address will not be passed on.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact the persons responsible. He/she is the person responsible for data collection in connection with your participation in the project/study. If you have general questions about data protection, you can also contact the data protection officer of the University of Tübingen.
