Intercultural consultation hour
Cultural misunderstandings, puzzling or "weird" experiences and problems in dealing with people in Germany ... everyday life in another country can sometimes be challenging. If you have experienced something that you would like to better understand or if you are looking for advice on how to handle a specific situation in Germany, we are happy to offer you an intercultural perspective. Please arrange a meeting!

Individual pronunciation training
Good pronunciation and intonation are keys to fluent communication! Would you like to improve your pronunciation individually? We offer you a self-study course in which you can practise phonetics on your own with explanations, exercises, audio files and videos - whenever and wherever you want.

Writing consultations
Do you have to write a scientific text in German (term paper or thesis) and have specific questions and problems? Are you unsure what is expected of you? Individual writing consultations can help you with all the questions about your project. Arrange a meeting with us and get constructive feedback to your text and useful tips!
Please note: A writing consultation is not a correction service. We want to give you "help for self-help". The idea is for you to manage your project sucessfully on your own with our support.

International students who are already very proficient in German can also find advice on academic writing at the university's Diversity-oriented Writing Center. In the personal consultation you will find answers to your specific questions and receive support in developing individual solutions.

Is your German text well-written?
Are you currently preparing a thesis in German? We can help you with proofreading, spelling and stylistic problems. Depending on your needs, we will find you a proofreader and provide you with a cost estimate. In the case of Master's and doctoral theses, there is an chance that the costs für correction will be covered.
