Students of Media Studies, Media Informatics and Sports Journalism can rent equipment for seminar papers, workpieces, project studies and theses as well as use sound and TV studios and editing suites free of charge.

For questions about editing with Adobe Premiere, Samuel Zink is available on Tuesdays from 10:00 - 12:00 and on Wednesdays from 16:00 - 18:00 in room 128 (editing pool).

To ensure the functionality of all technical devices, the returned equipment is carefully tested every day and reset to pre-specified settings. Therefore, the return of the equipment is possible only in the morning so that our employees can then perform this technology check. The equipment will be
available again in the afternoon and can be borrowed then.

Please return borrowed equipment on time! The equipment is often needed by other students on the same day. Should you still be unable to comply with the agreed return date, please contact us as soon as possible by calling 0049 (0)7071 29-76710.
If our equipment is repeatedly unreliably returned, individuals may be deprived of the right to lend.

The equipment is not insured against damage. Should the equipment be damaged during your rental, you are obliged to inform our employees about this upon return and to pay for the damage if necessary. We therefore advise all students wishing to borrow technology from the ZFM to take out private liability insurance.

Pre-existing equipment defects are noted on the lending form when borrowing.

For the loan of our camera and sound equipment no deposit must be paid. With your signature on the loan form, you confirm the receipt of the equipment and the obligation for proper use and return at the agreed time.

For the lending of keys for our seminar rooms, headphones for the cutting computers in the PC pool as well as audio speakers, a deposit is required (student ID or identity card).

The ZFM can not loan projector cables and adapters. The administrative office of the individual
departments of study are responsible for this.
