Once you have successfully completed your studies, you can apply for a residence permit at the Foreigners' Office to extend your stay by 18 months, in order to look for a job in Germany, which is adequate to your degree.
After graduating from a German university, you are no longer bound to the maximum amount students may work (140 full days/280 half days per year). You thus can work full-time in any type of job in order to prove sufficient funds. After 18 months, you must have secured a job that matches your qualifications, in order to be able to renew your residence permit.
The Alumni Network allows you to stay connected with the University of Tübingen after graduation and offers alumni events, career planning support and funding programs.
