The Center for Sustainable Development is organizing a short city tour on the topic of “Fair Trade in Tübingen.” During the tour, we’ll explore various aspects of the topic in depth and see them in action around Tübingen. What makes this special: The city tour is being held in cooperation with the Sch(m)utzengel! As we make our way from stop to stop, we’ll pick up trash from the streets and do something good for our environment. Gloves, trash bags, and other supplies will, of course, be provided. Anyone who’s interested and eager to help is warmly invited to join us - we look forward to seeing you there!
The walking tour is part of the Deutschen Aktionstage Nachhaltigkeit and the KLIMA.LÄND.TAGE.

For the Deutsche Aktionstage Nachhaltigkeit (German Sustainability Action Days) 2025, the Competence Center of Sustainable Development (CCSD), together with the Sch(m)utz-Engel, organized a City Walk in Tübingen focussing around “Nutrition.” We visited various stations across the city of Tübingen: a cooperative store, a fair-trade store, a bakery selling leftover goods, a zero-waste shop, and an organic supermarket. At each station, the CCSD and the UN Youth Delegate for Sustainable Development provided brief insights into topics such as Fair Trade, fair loans, food and packaging waste. While the walk took place, the participants picked up trash under the advisory of the Sch(m)utz-Engel. Approximately 2400 cigarette butts were cleaned off of the streets of the city!
We thank all participants for their eager commitment!
