The Competence Center for Sustainable Development

What do we do?

The Competence Center for Sustainable Development organizes and implements a wide range of activities and events relating to sustainable development and is a networking hub for researchers, lecturers, students, employees and interested parties from the region.

Below you can find a list of the current activities of the Competence Center for Sustainable Development:

Coordination of the Studium Oecologicum (cooperation with the Transdisciplinary Course Program (TCP, Department III - Studies and Teaching)
Teaching events in various subjects and areas (e.g., offerings in the "Studium Generale")
Continuing education opportunities for lecturers
Coordination of the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development
Support for applying for funding
Participation in research projects (currently, e.g., KuNaH)
Organization of the ceremony of the Sustainability Awards for Theses and the Sustainability Lecture
Organization of university networking events
Participation in and organization of regional sustainability events (e.g., Tübingen Sustainability Night)
Networking with other colleagues and universities in the field of (education for) sustainable development
Developing a comprehensive Sustainable Development strategy
