Uni-Tübingen

Diversity Office

The Diversity Office is here to help the University of Tübingen create a diversity and gender equality-based university culture; a culture that enables all its members to develop to their fullest, and contribute, regardless of their gender, ethnic origin, age, social or religious background, disability or sexual identity. Its goals are embodied in the university’s mission statement.

The Diversity Office is responsible for the development and implementation of a diversity concept that covers all areas of the University of Tübingen and allows for every aspect of diversity. It coordinates the re-auditing of the “Vielfalt gestalten” diversity audit by the Stifterverband. The University of Tübingen took part in an auditing process in 2015 and 2016 and was certified from 2017. Re-auditing led to the objectives behind the initial auditing phase being reviewed and refined, and the University of Tübingen received the subsequent certificate, which is valid for three years, at the end of 2021.

The Diversity Office is the first port of call for all issues in relation to diversity. It offers advice and support, and mediates in cases of discrimination and disadvantage in studies or the workplace.
