Building Opportunities for Our Kids and Seniors BOOKS
BOOKS (Building Opportunities for Our Seniors and Kids) is a new service-learning project that addresses issues of educational and social justice. It focuses in particular on children, young people and seniors in Germany who are affected by educational and social inequalities.
Together with students, lecturers and non-profit organizations that work with and support these groups, the project facilitates intergenerational encounters through storytelling, bookmaking, and the opportunity to visit sites throughout Germany to directly engage with underserved communities.
