Hiking Tour: Sigmaringen and the Danube Valley

Get ready for a beautiful autumn adventure in the Danube Valley!

We'll take a scenic train ride of approximately 1.5 hours from Tübingen to Sigmaringen, where our hike begins.
We'll start with a short visit to the charming town of Sigmaringen and its magnificent castle. Those interested will have the opportunity to explore the castle interior for about an hour (optional).

Afterward, we'll follow the Danube through some of the most picturesque landscapes of the Swabian Jura. Our route will take us past enchanting locations, including:

  • Sigmaringen Castle – the impressive landmark overlooking the town
  • Inzigkofen Park – a beautiful natural area with scenic paths and picnic spots
  • Teufelsbrücke (Devil's Bridge) – a charming historic stone bridge
  • Burgruine Neugutenstein – the atmospheric ruins of a medieval castle
  • Schmeiental – a picturesque valley surrounded by nature

If the weather is good and conditions allow, there may even be an opportunity for a refreshing dip in the Danube! So, if you're feeling adventurous, bring your swimsuit and a towel. Just in case the autumn sun decides to surprise us!

Depending on everyone's mood, we can round off the day with an optional relaxed get-together in Tübingen.
