In this workshop we aim to take a broader look at the various perspectives on the concept of perspective as it applies to the Common Ground. Do we need to have a separate tally kept with the CG of what or whose perspective is being adopted when proposed updates are delivered? Do examples such as ‘Mary called Bill a Republican, and then he insulted her.’ demonstrate that CG must include information about areas where there is apparently no CG, but it is shared information about what the differences in CG of the dialogue partners is? We will discuss questions like this one between CRC members and invited speakers who are interested in issues related to perspective. The aim is to find CG and space for fruitful exchange and cooperation.
