Guided Tour of Unterjesingen’s Vineyards

Fancy a stroll through a picturesque vineyard while discovering Tübingen’s rich winemaking heritage?

Join Sabine Koch (Ökologischer Weinbau) for a guided tour of her vineyard in Unterjesingen and explore the region’s newly revived wine culture. Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of winemaking in Unterjesingen and the surrounding area, from the Middle Ages to the present day, while gaining fascinating insights into the principles of organic viticulture and what makes it unique.

The experience concludes in Sabine’s cozy wine cellar, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste a selection of her excellent wines.

This event is hosted by Heike Habfast from the Welcome Center Team who will meet you at the meeting point.

PARTICIPATION FEE:
1,50 € per person (to be paid in advance to the Welcome Center)
Optional: 11,00 € per person for the wine tasting. This is to be paid in cash on site.

Please be aware that you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from Unterjesingen. 
A possible bus connection from Tübingen main station leaves at 3.50 p.m. (Bus RB63, direction Herrenberg). This bus will arrive at the station “Unterjesingen Kreissparkasse” at 4.01 p.m..

The entire event (walk + wine tasting) will last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.

Registration is mandatory

If you are interested in taking part in this special event, please register by August 25, 2026 by sending an email (subject: “Vineyard Tour Unterjesingen”) to the Welcome Center welcomecenterspam prevention@uni-tuebingen.de.

When registering, please let us know whether you would like to join only the vineyard walk or both the walk and the wine tasting.

IMPORTANT: 

  • As the walk includes a wine tasting, this event is not suitable for children or teenagers.
  • The paths are not wheelchair accessible, so unfortunately the tour is not suitable for participants with mobility impairments.
  • Please check the weather forecast in advance and dress accordingly. Sturdy walking shoes with good grip are strongly recommended.
  • Be sure to bring enough drinking water for the walk.
  • Don't forget your student ID and/or Deutschland-Ticket for the bus ride.
