I am a PhD candidate in Project A6, which focuses on the question of how common ground develops across age groups and language backgrounds. In our project we compare young first-language learners, adult second-language learners, and adult native speakers. My focus is on second-language learners, which also reflects my academic background in psycholinguistics, memory, and second language acquisition. I am particularly interested in how memory, language prediction, and language processing relate to one another and contribute to the development of common ground.
