Soapbox Science: Bringing cutting-edge research to the streets – interactive, informal, and inspiring, with talks by female and non-binary researchers in English and German.
We are excited to announce that Soapbox Science is coming to Tübingen on July 11, 2026, starting from 1 PM at the Holzmarkt. After a successful kick-off in July 2025, we are happy to have found 12 more speakers ready to share their science with the public!
More information about these speakers can be found at https://soapboxsciencetuebingen.github.io/
What is Soapbox Science?
Soapbox Science is a novel public outreach platform that brings science out of lecture halls and into the streets. Inspired by London’s Hyde Park Speaker’s Corner, our event transforms public spaces into arenas for public learning and scientific debate. No Slides, no amphitheatre. Just brilliant scientists, their ideas, and curious minds eager to ask questions!
Expect short, engaging talks in both English and German, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and join the conversation.
