We Welcome the New Equal Opportunity Officer at the University of Tübingen

Starting on October 1, 2026, Professor Heike Oberlin has taken over the important position from Ingrid Hotz-Davies, who served as Equal Opportunity Officer for many years.

Professor Dr. Ingrid Hotz-Davies had held the position of Equal Opportunity Officer at the University of Tübingen since November 16, 2023—marking her third term in office. She already played an important role in university policy as the Equal Opportunity Officer from 2002 to 2006 and from 2014 to 2019. Between 2007 and 2011 she also served as spokesperson for the State Conference of Equal Opportunity Officers at Universities in Baden-Württemberg.

In recent years, Professor Dr. Heike Oberlin has familiarized herself with the role as Deputy Equal Opportunity Officer and also served as the Faculty Equal Opportunity Officer for the Faculty of Philosophy for five years. She has also been actively involved in university bodies such as the Senate and, most recently, the University Council, and can thus bring valuable experiences to her new position. Read more…
