Understanding antibiotic resistance through games
New escape game can be tested at SIDays26
How does antibiotic resistance develop – and what can research do about it? An interactive escape game offers children and adolescents a playful way to find answers to these questions. The game was created through a co-creation process involving the Gemeinschaftsschule Reutlingen and the Volkshochschule Reutlingen. Together, they developed an initial prototype that illustrates how resistance emerges and how its progression can be slowed down.
The game is now available for testing at the "Bakteriopolis" exhibition during the Science & Innovation Days on November 6 and 7, 2026. Children and adolescents can play the game themselves and provide feedback. This input will be incorporated into further development, enabling the escape game to go on tour across the region starting in November.
