We are expanding our counselling and coaching services in the Career Service with an AI-based chatbot. Via the ILIAS e-learning platform, students now have access to an additional, anonymous support service covering applications, job interviews and career orientation.
In our Career Service, we are supplementing our existing counselling and coaching portfolio with a new AI-based chatbot. The service is aimed at students who are preparing to start their careers or who are looking for an internship, a working student position or a voluntary engagement.
The chatbot offers suggestions and practical guidance on topics such as job applications, job interviews and career orientation. The answers are tailored to the University of Tübingen and are based on information, materials and experience from the Career Service. The aim is to support students in reflecting on their strengths, developing ideas and presenting themselves authentically.
Testing the chatbot with students in advance received predominantly very positive feedback.
Data processing is carried out via bwGPT in accordance with German data protection standards (DSGVO), and use of the service is anonymous, so that the content of users’ inputs cannot be viewed by Career Service staff.
The service is free of charge and can be accessed via the ILIAS e-learning platform.
