Tina Stengele

Lawyer, LL.M. Head of Section Transdisciplinary Course Program and Career Service. Broad experience in the fields of science, education and society. I am enthusiastic about working at interfaces: between disciplines, between science and practice, between people. It is a central concern of mine to shape education in a way that students successfully walk their path in profession and society and responsibly contribute to our world. To this end, we promote a wide range of interdisciplinary perspectives and encourage to think outside the box.

Career Service

Dr. Annika Requardt - Advisor for the "Come to Stay" project

PhD in American Studies. Since July 2024, I have been an advisor for the "Come to Stay" project. I received my PhD in American Studies from the University of Tübingen and have worked in adult education for many years. My work has included coordinating Business English language courses and serving as the main point of contact for institutes, companies, and corporate partners. In the "Come to Stay" project, my primary focus is on the development of an e-learning platform for international students and organizing online-talks with potential employers.

Sabine Sambeth - Consulting and Coaching

Coaching, consulting, and training. Process support. Many years of expertise in supporting managers and students with all issues that arise during a personal biographical transition. The step from studying to working is such an existential transition in every biography. It is a matter close to my heart to support people in an encouraging and strength-oriented way. I see myself as an impartial sparring partner with a wealth of experience and tools at my disposal. Individual and group coaching on orientation issues, career choice, and profile development.

Also leading the interdisciplinary TCP Master's program for students and doctoral candidates.

Inga van Gessel - Career Advisor for international students

Interdisciplinary academic and professional background with several years spent in the Netherlands, Ireland and the UK. More than 5 years of experience as a counselor on career and personal development issues for young adults. Further training in systemic and psychological coaching. Strongly client-centered and individually tailored approach - whether with individuals or teams. My work at the Career Service focuses on counseling and web seminars especially for international students on the topics of career orientation, application processes in Germany and job interviews.

Ruven Wiljan - Head of the Section Career Service

Educational scientist M.A., trained as a coach at the RKW Baden-Württemberg Consultant Academy. Deputy Head of the Section Transdisciplinary Course Program and Career Service and Head of the Career Service (counselling, coaching and company contacts). Main areas of work at the Career Service are counselling and web seminars on the topics of career orientation, job application, job interview and, since 2015, the area of company contacts. Author of the book "Resilienz für Führungskräfte".

Global Awareness Education

Dr. Inka Koch

Glaciologist; responsible for the Global Awareness Education offers with focus on natural science perspectives. Working with the next generation to find solutions for our global climate crisis, limited natural resources, and environmental challenges. Trained as a glaciologist (snow and ice researcher), with a Ph.D. from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Experienced scientist, expedition leader and project manager. Lived and worked on all seven continents (including Antarctica) and thus experienced firsthand what a different perspective can have on our world view.

Dr. Solmaz Mohadjer

Geoscientist with a doctorate from the University of Tübingen. Responsible for creating and teaching Global Awareness Education courses with a natural science perspective. Research interests include investigation of linkages between mountain hazards and mountain building processes, continental deformation and erosion as well as improving geohazards science delivery for disaster risk reduction. Founder of ParsQuake Project, a geohazard education initiative supporting the development of educational materials and briefs for informing the public and maximizing the use of scientific evidence in policymaking. Currently serves as the executive editor for Geoscience Communication and is a member of the European Geosciences Union’s Outreach Committee.

Dr. Glaucia Peres da Silva

Sociologist; responsible for the development of the Global Awareness offer within the Excellence Strategy. Doctorate in economic sociology with an analysis of the emergence of the world music market at the Humboldt University in Berlin. The focus of my work is interdisciplinary teaching on the topic of globalisation, international networking and the development of transfer projects.

Marie Hartmann - Civic Engagement and Service-Learning

Holds a Master’s degree in Gender Studies from Humboldt University in Berlin and is currently a PhD student at the University of Bamberg. Her research focuses on social inequalities, their perception and reproduction. She works on the service-learing BUS (Bridge between University and School Students) and BOOKS (Building Opportunities for Our Kids and Seniors) projects. These are two innovative service-learning projects that combine academic learning with social engagement in the region.

Since 2013, the focus has been on interdisciplinary teaching and the development of research-based teaching and learning in the introductory and final phases of studies.
