(A) General Information on health insurance for students in Germany https://www.daad.de/de/studieren-und-forschen-in-deutschland/studium-planen/krankenversicherung/
Please contact a German statutory health insurance provider as soon as possible. The health insurance provider will then send us directly notification of your insurance status.
If you hold an EHIC, GHIC, AT11 or a DAAD scholarship, or are over 30 years of age, you are required to submit a so-called certificate of exemption from a German insurance. You can apply for this at any German insurance company. You will then receive an exemption of the German health insurance. The health insurance company will inform the university directly about your health insurance status.
