Institutions of higher education in Connecticut and Baden-Württemberg have been cooperating successfully for more than three decades, with a strong focus on student exchange. To foster academic cooperation, a faculty mobility component was introduced in 2019 as part of this longstanding cooperation.
For the calendar year 2027, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Arts is offering travel grants for short visits by researchers to help initiate new collaborations and strengthen existing partnerships.
Researchers from Baden-Württemberg’s nine research universities and its six Universities of Education, as well as the universities and colleges in Connecticut participating in the state program who are interested in closer collaboration and want to actively participate in the state program are encouraged to apply for these travel grants.
It is particularly desirable that the visits also include undergraduate and/or graduate students (e.g. guest lecture, workshop, etc.) or other outreach activities.
