Professor (W 3) of Old Testament (m/f/d)

The Faculty of Protestant Theology at Tübingen University invites applications for the position of 

full professor (W 3) of Old Testament (m/f/d)

to commence as soon as possible.

The preferred candidate is to represent the subject Old Testament in research and teaching and has carried out long-term research on the history of the literature of the Old Testament.

The preferred candidate is expected to contribute to the Campus of Theologies and to collaborate with the Institute for Ancient Near Eastern Studies (IANES) at the Faculty of Humanities and the Digital Humanities Center at the University of Tübingen. The preferred candidate should be willing to secure external funding and to participate in collaborative research projects.

Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent degree as well as postdoctoral qualifications and teaching experience equivalent to the requirements of a full professorship.
