I really like it here in Karlsruhe. The city is beautiful, very open seeming, but still very obviously a large city, which makes transportation and things to do much easier. I've found most everything to be fairly convenient. The university is a bit more difficult, because there so few DaF classes, so it can be hard to find classes that are good for me to take, which has made things a bit stressful. There are a fair number of other foreign students, but they are almost exclusively European, and many don't speak any German, because there there is a popular Masters Level program here taught in English.
