Pride Month Tübingen 2026

At a time when issues of diversity, equality, and social cohesion are the subject of sustained public and academic attention, Pride Month in Tübingen holds particular significance. It serves as a reminder that the rights, visibility, and safety of LGBTIQ+ people cannot be taken for granted, but have been achieved and continue to be sustained through commitment, solidarity, and collective courage.

In 2026, the University of Tübingen, in collaboration with the Office for Equal Opportunities and Integration of the City of Tübingen, and together with a wide range of partner organisations, is once again presenting a diverse and inclusive Pride Month programme.

The aim of the programme is to enhance the visibility of queer life, foster spaces for dialogue and exchange, and bring together perspectives from across academia, culture, civil society, and community practice. The programme offers a broad and interdisciplinary range of events, including academic lectures, readings, workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, empowerment sessions, and cultural activities, culminating in Christopher Street Day (CSD). Pride Month is framed not only as a moment of celebration, but also as an opportunity for reflection, engagement, and solidarity in action.

The programme is delivered in close cooperation with a wide network of committed initiatives, voluntary organisations, student groups, and cultural practitioners from Tübingen and the surrounding region.
