At UNAM, there is a strong separation between exchanges at Bachelor's and Master's level.

  • is one of the oldest and largest universities in Latin America (over 300,000 students!)
  • In the relevant rankings, it is always among the “Top 5” universities in Latin America
  • Due to the high number of students, the range of courses on offer is very large. UNAM's central campus is located in the southern center of Mexico City.

  • State-run and founded in 1940, research-oriented
  • With only 330 students and 7 different faculties, the Colmex is one of the smallest, but also one of the most famous institutions in Mexico
  • The Colmex is particularly suitable for political scientists and for research purposes (final thesis / master's thesis).
  • It may be possible to receive personal academic supervision for research projects.

  • Approx. 15,000 students
  • Similar to Tübingen, the faculties are spread across the small (colonial) city
  • The Faculty of Psychology is located in the city of León, approx. 45 minutes by car from Guanajuato.
Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP)
  • state-run
  • approx. 65,000 students
  • one of the oldest universities in Mexico, founded in 1578
  • wide range of courses on offer
  • the central main campus with most degree courses is located in the old colonial and state capital of the state of the same name, Puebla; other campuses are spread across the state.

  • Private university, founded in 1940
  • about 9,000 students
  • Located in Cholula, a suburb of the capital Puebla in the state of the same name
  • offers both Bachelor's and Master's degree courses and enjoys a good reputation both nationally and internationally.
  • A B2 level of English is required for English courses at the local business school.
  • Master's courses take place in the evenings and at weekends and are offered in a trimester system, so you do not take part in the regular semester. In addition, a very good knowledge of Spanish is required and it is not possible to take a Spanish course.
