Partner Universities in Latin America

This page lists the University of Tübingen's partner universities in Latin America at which it is possible to study abroad. The partner universities are extremely diverse: Everything is represented, from huge state universities (UNAM in Mexico with over 300,000 students), medium-sized private universities (PUCRS in Brazil) to small, research-oriented institutes (Colmex in Mexico). In the table below you will find the most important information about the universities as well as any special features you should be aware of.

Number of Spots at the Partner Universities

The number of spots available varies from year to year and also depends on how many students come to Tübingen from the respective partner university. The number of spots at a university can vary greatly from year to year.

Choosing the Right University

Please inform yourself thoroughly on the websites of the respective partner universities whether your study project is feasible and reasonable within your respective field of study and your ideas. In case of specific questions that cannot be clarified by the research, please contact the Dezernat V.

Special Features for Graduate Studies

Master's programs in Latin America are sometimes part-time, i.e. courses are held in the evenings or on weekends, so that students do not participate in the regular semester system. In some cases, the master's programs even have different semester times (e.g. UDLAP in Mexico, where undergraduates study in the semester system and graduates in the trimester system).

Testimonials

The testimonials of former participants in the exchange program are a very good source of information, not only regarding the academic offers of the partner universities, but also when it comes to practical questions (housing situation, cost of living, etc.). The testimonials can be viewed on our testimonials portal, which you can access with your ZDV ID.
