In the past, studying abroad in mainland China meant taking only an intensive Chinese language course (approx. 20 hours per week). This option is still available at every partner university in mainland China. However, universities have become increasingly internationalized and now offer more English-language courses or even entire study programs in English. You can find out what options are available here by referring to the information provided by the respective partner universities.
In China, you can expect the cost of living to be slightly lower than in Germany or comparable to it.
The DAAD has compiled more detailed information on the cost of living in China under Studying and living in China - DAAD.
