The Competence Center for Sustainable Development (CCSD) is committed to making research and initiatives in the region more visible and to have an impact beyond the university space. For example, the CCSD has participated multiple times in the SWT Environmental Award and the Night of Sustainability. In 2025, the CCSD was actively involved in the environmental education project “Climate Workshop” organized by the Environmental Department of the City of Tübingen and spent a morning working with two 8th grade classes to develop practical tips on saving electricity. The CCSD also participates in local networks on the topics of education for sustainable development and “One World.”
