By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with a comprehensive toolkit to manage their research projects more efficiently and effectively.
Content
In the dynamic field of scientific research, an effective project management is a crucial success factor. This course, "Scientific Research Management," is designed to equip PhD students and Postdocs with the essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate and excel in research environments within the setting of a medical faculty.
Participants will explore a range of topics, including project planning and execution, resource management and team leadership. The course will also cover practical aspects and tools such as project plans, templates for an effective project controlling and some agile project management insights.
Through a combination of presentation, interactive group work, and case studies, attendees will learn:
- to set up a project with a project plan
- to control and manage the project process in the dimensions time, budget and quality
- to lead and motivate interdisciplinary research teams
- to involve stakeholders and manage project risks
- to communicate project results

Lecture, dialogue and discussions, group work and exercises, concrete case studies and examples.
