Research

Science with and for Society

Description

Based on the three strategic priorities Open Innovation, Open Science, Open to the World, which EU Research Commissioner Moedas formulated in 2015, far-reaching changes in research and innovation processes result from citizen participation as well as from digital upheavals. The program takes this into account through the following strategic directions:

Program lines:

  1. Accelerating institutional change and getting it started
  2. Gender equality in research and innovation policy
  3. Building the territorial dimension of SwafS partnerships*
  4. Research and support of citizen participation in science
  5. Building a knowledge base for SwafS *

*SwafS = Science with and for Society.

Funding Schemes:

  • Research and Innovation Action (RIA)
  • Innovation Action (IA)
  • Coordination and Support Action (CSA)
