Global Awareness Education at the European Geosciences Union, 14-19 April, Vienna

Global Awareness Education will be presenting results of their course Disaster Risk Reduction for a Resilient World at the annual European Geosciences Union meeting this spring in Vienna.

This spring at the annual meeting of the European Geosciences Union in Vienna, Global Awareness Education will be presenting results from the recent piloting of one course titled Disaster Risk Reduction for a Resilient World. The course was initiated during the winter semester 2023-2024 at the University of Tübingen, and will be offered again in the summer semester 2024. Topics covered include multi-hazard environments, effective partnerships, stakeholder engagement, theory of change, understanding-positionality, indigenous knowledge, equitable access to information, and sustainable development. Read the abstract here:
