Erasmus+ Praktikum

Erasmus+ internships are funded centrally via the Baden-Württemberg consortium KOOR-Erasmus Services BW in Karlsruhe. Applications for funding must be submitted directly via KOOR. 

What types of internships are there?

  • Student Mobility Placements
    Both compulsory and voluntary internships in companies as well as other institutions such as research centers, research laboratories at universities, educational centers, non-profit institutions, non-governmental organizations, etc. are eligible for funding for enrolled students after completion of their first year of study, for a period of at least 2 to a maximum of 12 months.
     
  • Graduate/graduate internships
    Graduates can also be funded for Erasmus+ internships if they were selected by the sending university during their final year of study and carry out and complete the internship abroad within one year of completing the relevant study phase.
     
  • PJ
    Funding for the practical year (PJ) as part of a degree course in medicine and pharmacy is possible if the student is enrolled during the PJ period and the internship is part of the curriculum.

Who is supported?

Students enrolled after completing their first year of study are eligible for funding for a period of at least 2 to a maximum of 12 months.

Important: Exmatriculated students can also apply for an Erasmus+ internship up to 12 months after exmatriculation.

Application deadline

Applications must be submitted to the Central Office for Erasmus+ Internship Funding in Karlsruhe no later than one month before the start of the internship.

Note: even if your internship stay is financially compensated, you will receive funding for your Erasmus+ internship stay.

Application phases Erasmus+ internships:
  1. Students and doctoral candidates whose internship starts between 01.08.2024 and 31.01.2025 can register and apply from 20.06.2024.
  2. Students and doctoral candidates whose internship starts on or after 01.02.2025 can apply from 20.11.2024.

Important note: Internships in the summer semester 2024 that start before August 1st will no longer receive funding. Funding will be provided for internships starting from 01.08. or in WS24/25. Applications can be submitted from June 20.
