Application procedure for study visits to Erasmus+ partner universities worldwide

1. Select a host university

Select your preferred partner from our list of Erasmus+ worldwide partner universities.

2. Application at the department or at the International Office

Approximately 12 to 15 months before the start of your planned stay abroad, get in touch with the contact person for the selected university (see point 1). Depending on the partner university, the application takes place either at the department or at the International Office.

As the number of Erasmus+ places worldwide is limited, the respective coordinators set selection criteria. These usually include personal motivation, language skills, academic achievements, study plans, etc.

3. Application at the host unversity

After you have been selected for a place in the Erasmus+ program in your department or at the International Office in Tübingen, the responsible coordinator will nominate you at the host university. Please note that the final decision on your admission or rejection will be made by the partner university. The host university will then contact you and ask you to register and apply.

You are responsible for ensuring that your documents are complete and submitted on time.

4. Applying for the mobility grant

Once you have been accepted by the partner university, you can apply for the Erasmus+ mobility grant at the International Office.

The application is made via the Mobility Online Portal.
